Mr Santorum,
You are an American for which I think the title "honorable" is appropriate. I have watched you fight for American and family values and also watched the grace and dignity you have shown with the tragic difficulties your children have faced. You have earned my respect, I'm a big fan.
Deep down, I believe you always have the best interest of the Conservative movement, the Republican party, and the United States of America at heart. That is why I hope you will prayerfully consider what I ask of you.
Former Senator Santorum, the time has come for you to drop out of the race for President. You have had 3 consecutive finishes of 13% or lower. Yes, your upset win in Iowa was impressive but your campaign, unfortunately, has been unable to capitalize on that momentum. You fought the good fight. I know you believe you are the best candidate still standing and that may very well be true. However, it is also irrelevant.
Going forward, there is only 1 candidate who can stop Mitt Romney and that is Newt Gingrich. Mr. Santorum, I am asking- in fact begging- you not to continue your campaign and leave millions of dispirited Catholics and Evangelicals, Conservatives and Right leaning independents being forced to watch a Massachusetts liberal vs an Illinois Liberal in the Presidential race.
I appeal to your common decency. Drop out now, there is no time to be wasted.
